Kiboga_Bugabo Grain Framers Cooperative Society The society started in June 2016 and registered officially in May 2017 as a cooperative society after Hunger Project terminated its operations with Kiboga Epicenter to address the prevailing marketing conditions of their produce (maize, beans and coffee) in their areas of operation – Kiboga & Kyankwanzi districts and surrounding areas.

Before the idea and registration of a cooperative society, farmer worked together in the Epicenter under Hunger Project production and marketing activities. The farmers from different areas were organized in small farmer groups that were mobilized to start a cooperative Society. This came after Hunger Project ending its activities with the Epicenter and the society was initiated to continue the production and marketing functions. After its establishment, the Society is being supported by Techno Serve – Feed the Future, POA Project in capacity building of the society through Agritrust (U) Ltd..

Kiboga – Bugabo Grain Farmers Cooperative Society Ltd is located 5 kms off Kiboga – Hoima road in Kiboga town in Bugabo village, Kyayimba parish, Kapeka Sub-county Kiboga district. It operates in Kiboga and Kyankwanzi districts. The Society is currently housed in the Epicenter’s infrastructure and yet to establish its owned premises.was registered on 10th May 2017 under a registration No P.7296/RCS on a probation for 2 years. Its a legal entity operating in accordance with its bye-laws and policies, Cooperative Act 1991 and the Regulations 1992. .
